The West End Senior Center Wednesday Farmer's Market begins every year around the middle of July and continues through the end of September. Set up time is 3:00pm, and selling time is 4:00pm to 6:00pm. The cost to host a booth is $20.00 for the entire season.
The criteria for selling at the market includes vendors that:
- produce, grow, or cultivate their own vegetables, flowers, fruits, herbs and plants;
- crafters or artisans who create hand crafted products primarily from raw materials;
- or food producers or processors who make value-added or ready to eat products from agricultural or food materials in accordance with all Idaho Health District regulations
In the 2010 season, we had 24 diversified vendors that provided garden vegetables, baked goods, handmade rugs, home-made lemonade, photography, jewelry, melons, sweet corn, breads, herbs, pastries, KettleKorn, do Terra products, crocheted items, quilted totes, eggs, jams, soap, barbecued ribs and chicken, grapes, homemade Linguica, pies, cooked food, plants and organic whole grain and bread products.
The Senior Center kitchen and volunteers provide our own "Spudnuts", a donut made from potatoes, as well as cinnamon rolls and cinnamon raisin bread (which makes what may be the worlds most delicious french toast).
